Rijstveld in Kassel

fotofotofotofotofotofotoHet project van Sakarin Krue-On was het grootste kunstwerk op Documenta XII. Het plan was om een helling van 7.000 vierkante meter, in het park Wilhelmshöhe, terrassen te bouwen en er rijst op te verbouwen.
Er moest uitgezocht worden welk irrigatiesysteem het beste was. De kunstenaar wilde ook de traditionele landbouwmethodes onderzoeken.
“Het project is echter helemaal niet mislukt. Sakarin is erg gelaten”, zegt woordvoerster Catrin Seefranz.
